The project comprised the repairs, conservation and restoration of a historic and listed building in Lewes following a fire. Works included careful structural timber repairs and preservation, tile, slate and leadwork repairs, joinery repairs and replacement, traditional plastering, new mechanical and electrical installations, painting and decorating and floor finishing.
The works were carried out with careful consideration for conservation and to the satisfaction of the conservation officer whilst providing modern service installations and insulation. The opportunity was taken during the restoration to carry out various fabric and structural repairs to ensure that the building can be enjoyed for many years to come.
As a result of our experience, collaborative approach and team ethos, we were able to work closely with the design team and subcontractors to complete the project successfully.
