As part of the client’s seafront improvement programme, Cheesmur were engaged to undertake the installation of new public WCs to include individual IPS cubicles, family cubicles and accessible cubicles, central vanity units with communal wash troughs, specialist wall & floor tiling and extensive ventilation & extract systems with PIR lighting, fire detection & intruder alarm systems, a central attendants office, electronic touch pad access turnstiles, a general access route incorporating suspended ceiling rafts with a full length, feature wall of scalloped tiles linked to form the impression of a rolling seascape.
Also included within the area is a designated disabled access WC along with a full assisted access disabled WC/shower/wet room area containing a specialist electric hoist, fold-down assisted access bench & height adjustable wash hand basin.
The main WC areas come complete with solid MF ceilings incorporating sectional ceiling grid rafts over communal areas for access.
Service voids behind the WC pans & urinals allow maintenance access to the mains connected supplies or voids beneath the vanity units for maintenance access to electronic sensor taps & soap dispensers. All pans & urinals are also equipped with motion sensor flushes.
Bespoke large mirrors & joinery items along with a compact yet well provisioned plant room & cleaners cupboard complete the picture.
The project was delivered within the client’s budget and preferred timeframe which was an excellent achievement by all parties given various material availability issues.
We’d love to hear from you and would be pleased to discuss your project.
