Covid 19 Business Update 3rd April 2020

Further to previous information confirming that site works were being suspended due to Government Directives concerning the Covid 19 pandemic, we have received updated information and clarification from the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. The Secretary of State’s letter and the associated “Site Operating Procedures – Protecting Your Workforce” document issued by the Construction Leadership Council have provided clarity with respect to construction works.

We have updated our existing health and safety strategies and with the strict application of our robust Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), where it is safe and appropriate to do so, will be remobilising to recommence site works on Monday 6th April 2020.

The Board of Directors remain committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all of our employees, supply chain, Client Teams and 3rd parties alike at all times and our Health and Safety Management and RAMS will remain under constant review as we become aware of further factors relating to the safe delivery of work during the Covid 19 pandemic.

"I had the opportunity to work with Jeremy Snelling, Dave Hardy and Simon Edlin of Cheesmur Building Contractors on the Bramber House refurbishment project last year and I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent service they provided. As Project Manager for Sussex Estates and Facilities LLP, the delegated Employer on behalf of the University of Sussex, I worked closely with Jeremy, Dave and Simon to make sure that the needs and standards of the University of Sussex were not only met but exceeded.  Throughout the project I felt the Cheesmur Building Contractors truly acted as a partner with not only the Employer, but with each member of the project team"
